Our client is an exciting, well established, and expanding company with an excellent reputation for the quality of its software, consulting services, and customer support. They serve most of the Fortune 500 and other high-profile customers around the world in data-intensive businesses such as banking, financial services, telecommunications, shipping, and insurance.

They currently are searching for PhD-level candidates (including recent grads and current post-docs) to join their specialized internal consulting group. As a member of this group, you will remotely assist customers to develop and deploy complex, mission-critical software used to integrate huge amounts of data and operate on it using business intelligence, analytics, and other applications.

This role is best suited to individuals with a strong technical background who enjoy solving sophisticated technical and business problems for customers. As Data Integration and Analytics Consultant, you will assist clients in using our clients’ software to solve problems in areas including marketing, business intelligence, billing, fraud detection, enterprise resource planning, and customer relationship management.

Recent PhD graduates have performed well in these roles, even without prior software industry experience, since extensive training is provided. Individuals with Master’s degrees who are currently working in the field as consultants with at least two years of experience will also be considered. If you enjoy working with customers to find solutions to their technical challenges, but do not wish to travel, this could be an excellent opportunity for you.

REQUIREMENTS
” PhD, Physics, Math, Engineering, Science, or Computer Science (any discipline that involves working with large amounts of data with an outstanding record of academic achievement, or previous hands-on systems integration consulting experience
” Some experience in software development (either in an academic/research or commercial setting)
” Excellent problem solving, analytical, and communication skills
” Facility in thinking abstractly, recognizing patterns, and finding ways to reduce complexity
” Demonstrated ability to master complex material and function without supervision
” Demonstrated desire to help others be successful
” Desire and ability to work closely with employees at all levels of Fortune 500 customers on a wide range of challenging technical and business problems
