Education and Experience:
” A minimum of a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering
” A minimum of 5 years of relevant RF, analog, and optoelectronics design experience

Technical Skills:
” RF Analog and Mixed Signal electronics design applied to lasers and optical sensors
” Experience with RF mixers, RF Splitters, Compensated Crystal Oscillators, RF filters, RF isolation, Direct Digital Synthesizers (DDS), ADC/DAC, RF amplifiers, Phase Lock Loops (PLL), Low Noise Amplifiers
” RF circuit layout and materials
” RF simulation tools
” Knowledge of optoelectronic devices (laser diodes, photodiodes, etc.)
” Must also be proficient in the use of RF lab test equipment such as a Network Analyzer, Spectrum Analyzer, RF Signal Generator, TDR, Power Meter, and Oscilloscope.
” Familiar with amplifiers and signal processing for photo-detectors
” Familiar with drive, optical power control, and temperature control circuits for laser diodes
” Proficient with one or more schematic capture and PCB layout tools (Cadence preferred)

Bonus Skills:
” Digital filtering; FIR/IRR constructs

Responsibilities:
1) Design and simulate RF, Analog, and RF optoelectronic circuits for laser measurement systems
a) Participates in cross functional new product development teams as the RF optoelectronics designer and architect.
b) Documents all design activities (generates design specifications, theory of operations, circuit design files, schematics, PCB layouts, test specifications, test reports, etc.)
c) Directs and coordinates the layout and fabrication of new RF circuit board designs
2) Plans, conducts, and reports on the performance testing for new RF optoelectronics designs
3) Conducts troubleshooting and determines root cause for circuit design, board design, or fabrication failures.
4) Other optoelectronics design activities may be added in the future as business conditions evolve
