Startup consisting of scientists, engineers and entrepreneurs who have built some of the most advanced 3D imaging systems in the world. Their goa is to become the world’s preferred supplier of scene reconstruction and processing engines for digital devices like smartphones and AR glasses.
Keywords: 3D scene reconstruction, structure from motion (SfM), simultaneous localization and mapping (SLAM), optical flow, inverse light transport, nonlinear optimization, bundle adjustment.
My client seeks a skilled computer engineer/scientist with strong 3D scene reconstruction experience to joinour growing company. You will be able to design, implement and test our scene reconstruction algorithms in C++. You will be a quick thinker with great coding/debugging skills, excellent time-management skills and strong collaborative skills. Title, compensation (including equity) and relocation expense reimbursement will be commensurate with experience.
o Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
o Proven ability to design, implement and test sophisticated SLAM, SfM and related scene reconstruction algorithms and data structures in C++.
o 5+ years of experience developing production code in a high-performance team.
o Deep understanding of 3D scene reconstruction using nonlinear optimization.
o Deep understanding of multithreaded object-oriented code design, implementation and testing using
C++ in the Microsoft Visual Studio development environment.
o Brilliant thinker who can contribute both “inside and outside the box.”
o Live near, or be willing to relocate to, our tech center in Columbia, MD.
o Experience successfully working in cross-functional teams.
o History of successful delivery of products.
o U.S. citizen or permanent resident with or capable of obtaining DOD security clearance.
o Record of success in 3D technology companies, including startups.
o Familiarity with MATLAB® or Python (NumPy/SciPy), Ceres.
o Familiarity with hardware design (FPGA programming using VHDL, Verilog or other RTL).
