Startup consisting of scientists, engineers and entrepreneurs who have built some of the most advanced 3D imaging systems in the world. Their goa is to become the world’s preferred supplier of scene reconstruction and processing engines for digital devices like smartphones and AR glasses.

Overview
My client seeks a skilled computer scientist/engineer to join their growing company. You will be able to design, implement and test their spatial processing algorithms in hardware acceleration environments (e.g.,FPGAs) in C++. You will be a quick thinker with great coding/debugging skills, excellent time management skills and strong collaborative skills. Compensation (including equity) and relocation expense reimbursement will be commensurate with experience.
Requirements
o Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
o 5+ years of FPGA development experience to include most of the following: FPGA configuration and
interface definition; FPGA programming using VHDL, Verilog, OpenCL, C/C++ and/or Xilinx tools;
demonstrated ability to debug FPGA designs in real-world systems; use of integrated logic analysis
tools; development work in a complex codebase as part of a team.
o Deep understanding of massively parallel hardware acceleration algorithms and data structures.
o Deep understanding of processor architectures.
o Brilliant thinker who can contribute both “inside and outside the box.”
o Live near, or be willing to relocate to, our tech center in Columbia, MD.
Preferences
o Experience successfully working in cross-functional teams.
o History of successful delivery of products.
o U.S. citizen or permanent resident with or capable of obtaining DOD security clearance.
o Record of success in 3D technology companies, including startups.
o Familiarity with MATLAB® or Python (NumPy/SciPy) scientific computing environment
