The candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and prototyping extremely wideband, high-speed signal processing solutions for wireless systems. Familiarity with high speed FPGA implementation, mapping complex signal processing algorithms for wireless transmit and receive chains to RF SoC (including Programable Logic (PL) and Processing System (PS)portions), developing high speed interfaces to external ports and on-board peripherals, and designing complex, high speed clocking and control frameworks is desirable. Familiarity with modern wireless waveforms, as well as associated signal processing algorithms for transmission and reception (e.g. carrier frequency and time offset correction, equalization, modulation/demodulation, and forward error control coding) is desirable. You will work in teams to research concepts and develop cutting edge solutions to complex problems. You will also be required to communicate the results of research through customer presentations and publications. Must work well collaboratively and individually. The successful candidates will have a wide breadth of technical skills and a desire to contribute to multiple program areas.
Main responsibilities include:
” Designing, analyzing, modeling, simulating, and implementing high speed, extremely wideband real-time FPGA solutions using the RF SoC, including PS and PL components.
” Working closely with signal processing algorithm researchers to develop algorithm specifications, bit-exact simulations, and test vectors, as well as providing feedback to algorithm researchers on suggested modifications.
” Implementing, debugging, and testing high speed signal processing solutions.
” Working closely with radio frequency (RF) engineering researchers to ensure high performance interfaces between digital and analog transmitting and receiving systems.
” Writing design documents, simulation and test reports, and system documentation.
” Citizenship Verification: This position requires verification of US Citizenship
” 3+ years of experience in developing RF solutions
” BS/BA, MS/MA, Ph.D. or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Electrical and Computer Engineering, or a related relevant field
” Candidates must have at least an active Secret security clearance
” Strong written and spoken communications/presentation skills
