Comments from the hiring manager…Paul, we’re looking for people that can come up with signal processing techniques and then implement them on SDRs. Some things you might search for would include the types of SDR platforms we deal with, Ettus/National Instruments USRPs or Epiq solutions SDRs (Sidekiq, Matchstiq). Some of the areas that they would have experience would include signal detection, signal classification, geolocation.

The candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and prototyping Software Defined Radio (SDR) solutions for wireless systems. Familiarity with wireless standards, specifically LTE and open source stack implementations is desirable. You will work in teams to research concepts and develop cutting edge solutions to complex problems. You will also be required to communicate the results of research through customer presentations and publications. Must work well collaboratively and individually. In this position, candidates will be developing radio solutions to help solve complex problems. Main responsibilities include:
Designing, analyzing, modeling, and simulating signal processing algorithms for wireless system applications, including multi-antenna communications, signals collection, RF geolocation and electronic attack.
Implementing, debugging and testing wireless application prototypes on third-party software-defined radio (SDR) platforms.
Writing design documents, simulation reports, and system documentation.
Requires 10 to 12 years with BS/BA or 8 to 10 years with MS/MA or 5 to 7 years with PhD.
US Citizenship is required for this position.
3+ years of experience in developing SDR solutions
Knowledge of Open Air Interface (OAI) or srsLTE software stacks
Knowledge of LTE standards
Candidates must have at least an active Secret security clearance
Strong written and spoken communications/presentation skills
