Responsibilities
My client is looking for a motivated Machine Learning Research Scientist with a desire to be at the forefront of developing and fielding novel deep learning algorithms and systems for the Department of Defense. Working with a world-class team of computer scientists, you will be responsible for rapidly identifying, implementing, and testing state-of-the-art deep learning algorithms while adapting techniques to new problem domains. You will propose novel hypotheses and algortihms, set up experiments to validate them, and communicate your findings to peers and customers. You will collaborate with other researchers to integrate different algorithms into a cohesive prototype system.

 

Who we’re looking for:

· Deep learning: We are looking for staff with a strong interest and track record in deep learning research and development. You’ll work on performing fundamental research and applying methods to practical problems.

· Scientific research: We are looking for people who can understand state-of-the-art methods, propose novel hypotheses that solve real problems, and independently set up and execute experiments to validate/refute those hypotheses.

· Domain knowledge: You should have hands-on experience with one or more of the following domains: computer vision, natural language processing, audio processing, radio frequency processing.

Qualifications
BS 8-10, MS 6-8, PhD 3-5

Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field with a focus on machine learning research.
Strong understanding/experience with one or more ML / deep learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn)
Working knowledge of linear algebra and optimization
Hands-on experience collecting and/or processing datasets for use in training
US citizenship required.
Eligible/willing to obtain a security clearance.

Additional Desired Skills

Experience specific to Adversarial Machine Learning (AML)
History of advanced Mathematics coursework
Modern development practices and toolsets (Git, subversion, CI/CD toolchains)
Algorithm analysis, data structures, and coding for efficiency and performance.
