A cutting-edge engineering team is seeking a senior-level digital design expert to lead the development of custom ASICs for high-performance applications. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in complex design environments and enjoys solving deep technical challenges across the full lifecycle of chip development.

Role Overview

Core Responsibilities
– Architect and implement digital integrated circuits using advanced semiconductor technologies
– Translate system-level requirements into optimized RTL designs and drive them through synthesis and verification
– Analyze and simulate transistor-level behavior to validate design integrity and performance
– Lead efforts in floor-planning, layout guidance, and parasitic-aware simulation
– Collaborate across disciplines to ensure cohesive system integration and testability
– Evaluate algorithmic feasibility for hardware acceleration and contribute to secure system architectures
– Mentor junior engineers and codify design best practices for team-wide adoption
– Support proposal development and technical strategy for new initiatives

Technical Expertise
– Deep proficiency in digital IC design, including low-power and radiation-hardened techniques
– Hands-on experience with advanced CMOS nodes (sub-32nm preferred)
– Skilled in front-end design flows using industry-standard tools (e.g., Cadence, Synopsys)
– Fluent in SystemVerilog, Verilog, or VHDL, with familiarity in LINT, simulation, and synthesis
– Strong grasp of computer architecture, semiconductor physics, and secure hardware design principles
– Proven track record of successful tape-outs and team leadership in ASIC development

Qualifications
– Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field required; Master’s preferred
– 7–10 years of experience in ASIC design with a bachelor’s degree, or 5–10 years with a master’s
– Strong mathematical, analytical, and organizational skills
– Excellent communication and time management abilities

Security Requirement
– Must be a U.S. citizen and capable of obtaining and maintaining a government security clearance
