A leading-edge engineering team is seeking a seasoned professional to spearhead the design and development of advanced electronic systems for precision sensing and actuation. This role involves full-cycle hardware engineering—from concept to deployment—within high-performance environments spanning aerospace, defense, and emerging technologies.
Key Responsibilities
System Design & Development
– Architect and implement innovative electronic solutions tailored to complex instrumentation needs
– Define technical specifications and oversee production workflows for custom hardware platforms
– Lead validation efforts to ensure compliance with performance and reliability standards
Technical Leadership & Strategy
– Navigate ambiguous requirements and drive clarity through structured engineering analysis
– Serve as a technical authority in electronics architecture, guiding design decisions and system integration
– Identify and mitigate technical risks across programs and subsystems
Project & Team Management
– Coordinate cross-functional efforts across engineering disciplines to meet program milestones
– Communicate progress and challenges effectively to stakeholders and leadership
– Mentor junior engineers and codify best practices for scalable hardware development
Proposal & Innovation Support
– Contribute to strategic initiatives and proposal development for new business opportunities
– Engage with external partners and sponsors to align technical solutions with mission needs
Required Skills & Tools
– Expertise in schematic capture and PCB layout using industry-standard tools
– Proficient in circuit simulation (e.g., SPICE) and system modeling (e.g., MATLAB, Simulink)
– Strong analytical mindset with the ability to troubleshoot and optimize complex systems
– Exceptional organizational, communication, and time management skills
– Passion for continuous learning and technical growth
Qualifications
Education
– Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related discipline required
– Master’s or PhD preferred
Experience
– Minimum 10 years of hands-on experience in electronics design and instrumentation engineering
Security
– Must be a U.S. citizen and eligible for government security clearance
