We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced engineer to take a leading role in the architecture, implementation, and verification of complex programmable logic devices.
The ideal candidate will be a technical leader and a mentor, comfortable driving solutions independently and collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams. This role requires a U.S. citizen who is eligible for a government security clearance.
Key Responsibilities
Translate high-level project and system needs into precise hardware specifications.
Lead the design and integration of advanced components, including microprocessors, power systems, and analog circuits.
Drive projects to completion, collaborating with a diverse group of technical experts and stakeholders.
Conduct research and implement innovative solutions for cutting-edge designs.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, documenting and promoting best practices.
Serve as a subject matter expert in advanced ASIC and FPGA architectures.
Identify and mitigate program-level technical risks.
Contribute to new business development and proposal activities.
Develop, test, and document prototypes for eventual manufacturing support.
Qualifications and Experience
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field. A Master’s degree is highly preferred.
Experience: 7-10 years of experience in hardware and digital design.
Domain Expertise:
Proficiency in hardware description languages such as Verilog or VHDL.
Extensive experience with the full FPGA development lifecycle, from concept to deployment.
Demonstrated experience with design synthesis, place and route, and timing closure for designs with power and area constraints.
Hands-on experience with lab debug and hardware design.
Experience with high-speed interfaces (e.g., SERDES, PCIe, DDR).
Familiarity with industry-standard design tools like Xilinx Vivado or Microsemi Libero.
Experience with digital simulation tools such as Modelsim/Questa.
Knowledge of scripting languages like Python or Tcl.
Skills:

Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create detailed design specifications.

The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
A strong foundation in engineering principles and procedures.
A proactive, self-starting attitude.
This position requires a minimum of three days per week on-site. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in signal/image processing, hardware security, or embedded software development for FPGA SoCs.
We also prefer candidates who have direct experience in developing testbenches or implementing designs using UVM.
